Strategies to support home learning

Parents and teachers now play the roles of both teachers and parents. Everyone is still figuring out how to manage this unprecedented home learning situation. While a lot of online materials are being shared, not as many ideas to implement them at home for people with no teaching experience are available. Video conferencing has become ubiquitous in online teaching and learning. Zoom is one of the most popular applications for online meetings and webinars. It is very easy to set up for students to access their online live lessons. Download the desktop application from here or copy this URL https://zoom.us/client/latest/ZoomInstaller.exe and paste in your browser address bar. TED-Ed has announced that “to support the millions of students, parents and teachers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, TED-Ed is working with expert educators and TED speakers throughout the world to create and share high-quality, interactive, video-based lessons on a daily basis, for free”.
